This weekend, Laura completed the Nike Run to the Beat half-marathon. She ran the entire 13.1 miles in 2hours and 9mins (- she wasn't quite this excited the whole way round!)
She is raising money for the Hogar de Ninas Madre Albertina (Mother Albertina home for girls). The home in Granada, Nicaragua, is the home to 18 girls who have entered either as a result of being abused by their families or carers, sent to work on the streets, or because their carers could not afford to support them. They are brought to the home by the social services, and nuns from the order Madre Albertina ensure that the girls can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Rachel, the director at Nice Images, is the main UK fundraiser for the charity and 100% of any money donated will go directly towards this wonderful cause.
